From Sunbury Lock

Return to car
Retrace route from where you parked turning left back onto A3050
Waterworks on both sides of the road, river comes into view on the left
Continue to Molesey Lock on your left
Access to lock is back along the river bank (it is just upstream of Hampton Court Bridge)

PARKING - extremely restricted

TIP - our co-supporters did this lock and they turned left off the A3050 onto Graburn Way, where there is a small car park almost immediately on the left.  There were lots of cars parked on the verge of this road, which is still about 500m from the lock.  Walk towards the river and follow the path along to the lock.

The Rollers at Molesey
This is another of those occasions where it may have been better to get the crew to pull alongside somewhere along the river bank to top up before the lock/rollers.  The lock and rollers were manic and there is an unspoken agreement within the support crews that, as at Sunbury, you stay off the limited area of the exit point until your crew is about to "dock".

Again like Sunbury, the amount of portage time/distance is short and there are the pressures of other crews coming in right behind them, so it isn't the time for anything other than a quick bite and drink.
